Temporary email for online signups

However, I really don't want to get locked into their automated email marketing funnels afterward. How do you guys handle these temporary online signups efficiently?

from Bertis on 05/20/2026 12:23 AMHow's it going! Testing new apps is great, but those aggressive "welcome sequences" are the absolute worst part of the process. I manage all my trial accounts by routing them through a temporary mailbox instead of my work mail. I use TempBox because it lets me catch the activation code in real-time without giving away any personal information. If the app turns out to be useless for my project, I just walk away. The account expires, and I never have to see their "we miss you" marketing blasts. It is the most efficient way to try out software without any digital baggage following you around later.
