Photorealism or Artistic Style?

from Bertis on 05/09/2025 07:22 AM

Hey folks! When it comes to architectural renders, do you find photorealism more effective, or does an artistic, stylized look resonate better with clients? Trying to figure out what direction to take on my next project.

That's a great question and one I've played around with on multiple projects. What I've found is that it depends on the audience. Photorealism is great for final pitches, but stylized visuals can be more helpful in early conceptual stages. I've seen both done incredibly well by Genense Studio https://www.genense.com/ . Their 3D architectural visualization and rendering adapts perfectly to the tone of the project. Whether it's a moody, soft-style preview or a crisp, lifelike render, they know how to match the visual language to the message—and clients always respond to that alignment.
